What is contrast therapy?

Also called: hot-cold contrast

Contrast therapy

Contrast therapy alternates heat and cold exposure in a single session, typically a sauna followed immediately by a cold plunge, sometimes repeated. Protocols vary widely in duration and number of rounds, and there is no established standard for either. It is popular in recovery settings, and the evidence for specific outcomes is considerably thinner than the marketing suggests.

Why it matters when you are comparing products

If you plan to do both, the equipment decision changes: the two need to be close together, and drainage and floor loading have to work for both.
