Why do specs say 'not published'?

Not published

'Not published' means the manufacturer does not state that figure anywhere we could find on their own site. It is deliberately left blank rather than estimated from a similar model, a reseller listing, or a marketplace description. A missing value is information: it tells you what the seller chose not to commit to.

Why it matters when you are comparing products

Filling a gap with a plausible number is how comparison sites become unreliable. A blank cell is honest; an inferred one is a guess wearing a specification's clothes.
